The above blades display some of the hand forging and hand filing that is necessary to produce the finished product as shown below.

The BLADE... It took several years to find a blacksmith who could produce Kozuka blades and at a price that was reasonable enough to be offered to collectors. Each blade is hand forge folded and filed to the specs of original blades . . entirely by hand. The final result also includes a faux Hamon. Their shapes and proportions plus the rusted tang are common features shared with genuine antique blades. Because our blades are excellent copies and priced very reasonable, they are in short supply and it would be wise to order well in advance of any actual need. Those seeking to purchase an 'original' blade soon discover that prices start at approximately $200 for worn or damaged blades.
The HANDLE...Those of us looking for a genuine handle for a blade soon discover that handles in good condition are very expensive and some can exceed the value of a genuine sword blade. Most 'originals' were made of Copper, Shakado, Silver or Iron and most were decorated with a combination of these metals. Because original handles have been around for some time, most have suffered some damage and those that have been in collections and were well cared for are those that command the highest prices
